The video above was a Full cooling system recirculation flush using Hammerhead Marine Descaler RTU on a 42 ft custom built catamaran with a Yanmar 240 engine. Hammerhead was mixed with 2 gallons of water for every 1 gallon of Descaler in order to provide sufficient fluid for filling the complete system and keeping the recirculation pump submerged in a 16 gallon mini-drum. Flush time: 1 hour 15 minutes

Hammerhead Marine Descaler is designed for cleaning heat transfer systems while gentle on users, equipment, and the environment, Hammerhead Marine Descaler may be used on board vessels or in the shop to dissolve rock-like scale including barnacles, zebra mussels, calcium, lime and all types of mineral deposits from marine heat transfer equipment, engine water jackets and ancillary equipment.
Metal Safe Descaler
Hammerhead Marine Descaler is designed to bind with calcium molecules found in scale. Scale buildup is the number one reason water cooled systems malfunction. By binding only with calcium, remaining minerals and deposits held by the calcium are released to rinse free without harm to equipment. Hammerhead Marine Descaler does not oxidize, corrode or attack metals found in water systems. When used as directed, it is safe for copper, rubber, gasket materials, steel, iron glass and various materials used in conventional heat exchangers, condensers, evaporators and other water operated equipment.
Safe for use on equipment containing:
Aluminum, copper-nickel, brass, iron, copper, steel, stainless steel, bronze, titanium, chrome, rubber, gel coats, fiberglass, wood, painted surfaces, glass.
The only product that will not damage aluminum (AL1100) parts. Note: Competitive brands such as Barnacle Buster and Rydlyme are not safe for all metals including aluminum safe. You can use this marine descaler for an aluminum outboard engine!
The Most Effective Marine Descaler – Improved Performance Compared to Rdlyme Descaler
Hammerhead Marine Descaler rejuvenates gaskets and rubber seals while it works, and removes oils, soot, and dirt from air cooled exchangers when cleaned through immersion. Hammerhead Marine Descaler is the only descaler that also DEGREASES!
-
Powerful enough to dissolve concrete, yet gentle on employees, equipment and the environment.
- Free from harsh acids such as hydrochloric and phosphoric acid.
- Ideal for ships, boats, drilling rigs, and pleasure craft.
- Clear solution will not stain or mark most nautical surfaces.
- Can be used to clean buildup from exterior drives and hulls.
Biodegradable Descaler
Hammerhead Marine Descaler is non-flammable and mild in nature. It has no regulatory requirements under California and Massachusetts law, and is classified as non-VOC for safe handling and transport. Hammerhead Marine Descaler is non-toxic and known for its neutral odor and less harmful effects on human skin when compared to traditional acids.
Environmentally Friendly Marine Descaler
Hammerhead Marine Descaler is formulated with biobased building blocks derived from renewable resources, making it a significant contributor to the quality and sustainability of life. Only Hammerhead Marine Descaler starts with EPA recognized environmentally friendly elements, and assembles them into an effective descaling agent.
Universal
Hammerhead Marine Descaler may be used on all types of vessels including workboats, cruise ships, mega yachts, freighters, ferries and recreational boats. Hammerhead Marine Descaler is ideal for heat exchangers, condensers, cooling systems, and all water circulation systems exposed to hard water and scale.
