Wood Surfaces: Sand the wood surface with 80 grit sandpaper, remove the sanding dust with Sea Hawk S-80 Cleaner, allow to dry, and apply the first coat of

Aluminum: Good System: Abrade 80 grit, apply a thin coat of S-75 Alumi-Chrome Primer, and allow to dry to 1 hour. Apply 2 coats of 1277 primer, per product label directions. Let the second coat of 1277 dry overnight prior to 3 coats of COLORKOTE.
Aluminum: Better System: Abrade 80 grit, apply 2 coats of S-76 Strontium Chromate Tack Primer ( 2 mils DFT per coat), and allow to dry to touch(thumb test). Apply 10 mils DFT of 1284 Tuff Stuff High-Build Epoxy Primer, see Technical Bulletin AL1284 directions. Let the 1284 dry touch ( thumb test ) prior to the first coat of the 3 coats of COLORKOTE.
